Christian Education

As part of our vision to meet all our people in the stage they are at, and to help you take the next step of growth in your relationship with Jesus, Calvary is launching Christian Education classes this year. Here is a summary of the courses we’ll run from January-February 2021:

Alpha
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.   Alpha is the perfect course for those with questions about Jesus or faith, as well as those who are trying to share their faith with their friends and family.
Wednesdays at 7:30pm - January 13 - February 24
Discipleship Essentials
What makes a disciple of Jesus? This six-week course is designed to overview some of the foundational characteristics Jesus instilled in His first disciples in a format that fosters discussions, wrestles with biblical truths and allows you to ask your questions in a community setting. Whether you feel inadequate as a follower of Jesus or would consider yourself an experienced Christian, this course will inspire us all to grow as disciples.
Tuesdays at 7:30pm - January 12  - February 16
Grace-Based Parenting
Join us for an afternoon of lessons from  guest presenter Dave Lane.  Receive some outstanding principles for raising kids of all ages, be encouraged that you’re not alone in this journey and spend time in the company of other adults!
Saturday, February 20 at 1pm, on Zoom
Dave has been a youth pastor for over 30 years; a family pastor for 6 years; and a dad for over 20 years. Just recently Dave has accepted a position as the satellite director for Youth Unlimited/YFC Sarnia Lambton. His passion is to help this next generation become everything God wants them to become.  Dave believes that this is done by encouraging parents, equipping youth leaders and engaging students.

Dave has been married for 25 years to his beautiful bride, Laurie.  He is also the father of two adult children, Emma (22) and Bobby (20).  Not only has Dave been their dad, but he has had the privilege of being their youth pastor as well.
